Key barometers pared gains in early afternoon trade as profit booking emerged at higher levels. At 12:25 IST, the barometer index, the S&P BSE Sensex, was up 65.75 points or 0.18% at 36,236.16. The Nifty 50 index was up 20.20 points or 0.19% at 10,878.90. Buying was supported by recent weakness in crude oil prices and strength in local currency. Increase in fund flows from foreign portfolio investors also boosted sentiment.
